South Africa will host the WAGGGS World Conference 2008

At the 2005 WAGGGS World conference in Jordan, the South African delegation headed by Mrs Eugenia Mbekeni Chief Commissioner of Girls Guides Asociation of South Africa (GGASA) presented a bid to the Member countries showcasing South Africa as a tourist destination of note and Guiding South Africa’s dream - An African Dream to host a World Conference of WAGGGS. Work has already started with two preparatory meetings having been held by the interim committee.
